Weekly Questions?

August 2: Was Jesus an Alien? How do you explain (to yourself and/or others) all those miracles and impossible facts (like the virgin birth)? String Theory? Biblical allegory? A topic best avoided? How do you reconcile this in your life?

August 8: Jesus loves me? Tell me have you ever really felt it? I have in a gaudy church in Prague.... Let us share our stories of when our faith has been most alive in our lives.

August 15: Mathew 18:3 "Jesus said, "I tell you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven." What does this mean for us? And can I use it to justify to the old people why i let my kids run amuk in church?

August 22: Are you embarrassed to call yourself a christian? Or do you add a bunch of qualifiers if you mention it in public. Or are you deep in the closet?

August 29: Is Jesus your idea of a dream date? What would you say if he knocked on your door? How do you talk to god? When do you pray? Is prayer still relevant or should we join the Buddhists and learn to meditate?

A Month of Sundays

This year come August something different is coming to Nose Creek Park. The people of Airdrie United are coming out from behind the pews to celebrate with all the people their love of God. Let the children come. Let the old and new arrive; with ideas forgotten or not spoken. Sing with your hands on drums and dance to the sweet sounds of the guitar played by our own Rev. Dave. Do I hear questions? Then let all of us speak the answers. For this is God's country and we are God's people each and every one of us.
